Alan Daniel, CEO and Co-Founder
Alan Daniel has been an accomplished entrepreneur and sales and marketing specialist for more than 15 years. Before co-founding SmartTouch and the company's flagship product, SmartTouch® CRM, he helped LandsofAmerica.com triple its business by introducing the power of technology licensing and content syndication.
As an executive and shareholder of LandsofAmerica.com, Alan worked closely with low-density developers, advertising agencies and rural realtors to generate leads through online advertising and search engine marketing tactics.
Today, LandsofAmerica.com is the largest real estate listing service for ranch and rural properties with more than $35 billion in listings, yielding 300,000 distinct and unique visitors per month that have resulted in more than 20,000 buyer inquiries monthly for its 2,000+ customers.
Alan has also developed interactive marketing solutions for high-end luxury condo developers in Chicago, Illinois. As the founder of www.MetroSceneTV.com, a television program showcasing the hottest properties in Chicago, his marketing campaigns helped increase sales velocity for high-density projects in the heart of downtown Chicago and for suburban builders in the surrounding Chicago area.
Alan's initial entry into entrepreneurship began with the launch of Broadcast News Corp., a television production company whose programs aired on MSNBC, CNBC, Discover Channel and The Learning Channel and which included Terry Bradshaw's Winners Circle and Pick of the Week and Inside Healthhosted by Peggy Fleming. Alan's television production business realized an average of 81 percent growth annually for more than five consecutive years, reaching $24 million in cumulative revenue and employing more than 100.
Before launching his entrepreneurial career, Alan was a top producer in the banking industry, building and managing a commercial portfolio of loans to start-up companies of more than $50 million. He was a consistent Top 10 producer for Bank One (5,000+ producers), and an award-winning producer at Comerica Bank (10,000+ employees).
In addition to his current entrepreneurial and real estate marketing efforts, Alan is a partner in real estate investments that range from industrial projects in Texas and retail developments in Oklahoma to residential projects in Tucson Arizona. Alan is also a partner in a start-up mortgage company in Overland Park, Kansas.
Alan has a bachelor's in business administration in finance and real estate from Baylor University, and a master's in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin's McCombs School of Business. Alan also served on the board of directors for Rotary International and contributed as a top fundraiser for the Dallas Chamber of Commerce. An Austin resident, Alan continues to support local nonprofit and community organizations such as Young Life, Junior Achievement and his church in Westlake Hills.
Robert Cowes III, President and Co-Founder
As an accomplished catcher and a semi-pro baseball player, Robert Cowes called pitches and positioned players to ensure a great defense and scouted opposing hitters and teams to prepare for a winning strategy.
He brings those same skills to clients when developing lead generation campaigns that get results: winning conversions and building great brands.
As co-founder and president of SmartTouch, Robert is an accomplished entrepreneur with expertise in product management, design and execution of lead generation programs, branding, real estate marketing, interactive marketing, and account service.
Robert has managed more than $20 million in lead generation budgets in the last five years as key executive of SmartTouch and multiple interactive firms and agencies, yielding 100,000 leads and $200 million in sales.
He has also managed product development and launch of four successful Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications that have been collectively implemented in more than 600 organizations in industries as diverse as financial services, real estate, insurance, software companies and government agencies.
With deep expertise and a specialty in interactive marketing and results-driven lead generation campaigns especially for the real estate industry, Robert has designed and managed interactive marketing programs for builders and developers that consistently get results, generate leads, and elicit sales.
Robert's previous experience includes leading the operations as co-founder of IF Marketing & Advertising, growing the company from 4 employees to 25 and developing a client roster that eventually surpassed more than 150. As a result of those efforts, IF Marketing & Advertising was named one of the top 10 largest interactive marketing agencies in Austin four years in a row by the Austin Business Journal, and was also ranked fourth among the prestigious Fast 50, the top fastest growing companies in Austin.
As product manager for the Web technologies division of S1 Corp, Robert managed the interactive and online marketing efforts for more than 18 products and services and was responsible for generating $20 million in annual revenue. His efforts helped grow the division from zero to $10 million in annual revenue in 18 months. Robert's previous experience also includes serving as product marketing manager for the lending division of Banistmo, Panama's largest bank at the time.
Robert earned a bachelor's in business administration with a double major in finance and marketing from St. Edward's University in Austin, and a master's in business administration with a specialization in international business from Texas State University in San Marcos. He has been a member of the American Marketing Association since 2005 and served as the organization's Director of Collegiate Relations in 2009.
Originally from Panama City, Panama, Robert is a former college and semi-pro baseball player and was assistant baseball coach at Texas State University in San Marcos. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, Norma Guerrero Cowes and son Roberto Carlos.
Ashok Reddy, Chief Technology Officer
Ashok Reddy is a seasoned, performance oriented information technology executive with over fourteen years of experience in information technology management within Fortune 500 and management consulting companies.
Prior to joining SmartTouch Interactive, Ashok has served in a number of roles as an innovative leader and expert liaison between business management and technology groups. During his prior role as President for LandmarkIT solutions, he has helped a number of companies by providing interim CIO/ CTO support for business units, deploying cost effective business solutions and global shared services that maximize business value, leveraging strategic on/off shore sourcing for information technology work and business processes and managing overall technology spend and strategic enterprise wide initiatives.
